Dr. Danielle Husted

Veterinarian

Education:

BS in Animal Science Pre-Vet from Oklahoma State University College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources 1999
DVM from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine 2005

Background:

Dr. Husted grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Having always been drawn to animals, she knew from the age of 7 that all she wanted to be when she grew up was a veterinarian. She was driven by a love for science and a desire to help protect these creatures that cannot always protect themselves. After graduating from veterinary college, she worked as a small animal veterinarian in a private practice in Oklahoma City for five years before she moved with her family to Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Dr. Husted grew up vacationing at Sanibel Island every year and dreamed of one day moving to the area. It is literally a dream come true, for Dr. Husted, to be able to live and work in Southwest Florida. Her professional interests include Internal Medicine, Preventative Care, and Dermatology, specifically allergies.

Family/Pets:

Dr. Husted is fortunate to be able to navigate this adventure called life with her veterinarian husband and best friend, Dr. Charlie Palmer. They successfully raised three children, Tyler, Angi, and Leigha. It was so fun that shortly after their baby turned 20, they decided to do it again and were blessed with a fourth child, Axton (Ax). Currently, they share their home with three dogs, Cassie, a large mixed breed, Reggie, a small mixed breed, and Ajax, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, as well as with three cats, Johnnie Cat, Percy, and Moose, a Maine Coon.

Hobbies/Interests:

Dr. Husted enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her son, Ax, is a gifted athlete who plays baseball, football, basketball, golf, and tennis, so most nights are spent at his sporting events. But when they can make time, Dr. Husted is a huge Disney fan and loves to spend time at Disney. She also loves to spend time at the beach. Her favorite sports teams are whatever team her youngest son, Ax, is playing on. Since Dr. Husted, her husband, Charlie, and all of the older children attended Oklahoma State University, you will usually find her supporting her alma mater by wearing orange on Fridays. Go Pokes!

Kaitlin

Kaitlin was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She has three dogs and one cat. Since she was little, Kaitlin has always been interested in animals. She started working in a grooming salon when she was 16 and, since then, has gained experience in the veterinary industry, wildlife rehabilitation, and working with large animals at a zoo. She enjoys playing video games, reading, caring for her beautiful baby girl, and hanging out with friends and family in her free time.

Courtney

Courtney, born and raised in Florida, spent her early childhood running around in the woods and playing in the mud with her little brother. In middle school, she spent her afternoons on her friend’s farm, learning how to ride horses and even competing in competitions. She has always had a passion for animals and decided to turn that passion into a career. In January 2017, she got her first job as a Vet Tech and has never turned back. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her fur babies, Ellie, Molly, and Scarlett.

Brianna

Brianna has always had a passion for animals. Growing up in Colorado Springs, CO, she spent much of her time camping with her family, riding ATVs through the Rocky Mountains, and adventuring alongside the family’s two Labradors. She originally pursued a degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting before cutting her education short to make a big move to Florida in 2020. After relocating, Brianna turned her lifelong love for animals into a career by joining a privately owned veterinary hospital. She thrives in client education and is dedicated to expanding her knowledge of veterinary care—approaching each day with curiosity and a willingness to learn something new. Outside of work, Brianna enjoys life with her husband, Nick, and their two beloved rescue dogs, Stoney and Kona.

Alina

Alina was born and raised in Florida. She has one dog named Lucy and a bird named Rico. As a child, she grew up around farm animals and household pets. This gave her a passion for working/caring for animals. On the weekends, Alina enjoys spending time with her family, going to car shows, playing video games, and loves going on new adventures. Alina is bilingual and can speak Spanish. This has helped us and gives her the ability to translate for those clients who may need it. Alina loves to work and learn new things. She is blessed to be working the job she always grew up wanting.

Madison

Madison is a born-and-raised Floridian and the receptionist here at Loving Paws Animal Hospital. She loves being around animals and helping people feel welcome when they walk through our doors. Outside of work, she is usually cooking something new, watching horror movies, drawing, or gaming with her four cats—Queso, Dip, Sherbert, and Chonky—They always love keeping her company
